No. Moose & Mary has a non-refundable policy once a deposit for your puppy has been made. The one exception to this policy is any failed medical examinations of your puppy at your veterinarian’s office within the first three days of arriving at your home.
One of the things that sets us apart is that all our puppies have been thoroughly examined by our own veterinarian before we show you pictures or even select your puppy. We have found that this process eliminates any disappointment for your family. Only after a puppy has been returned to us upon failing an exam will a refund be issued. Here is more information concerning the health examination process:
- Initial Health Exam. For the health warranty to be valid, the purchaser agrees to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within three working days of the transfer. If at that time the puppy is diagnosed with an existing medical problem, the puppy may be returned for a full refund. If the purchaser wishes to retain possession of the sick puppy, the breeder agrees to pay any and all reasonable veterinary expenses up to 25% of the purchase price of the puppy within 30 days of documentation, but prior to any treatment for illness.
- The purchaser must provide the Breeder with a letter from the attending veterinarian specifying the nature of the problem, and copies of the medical record and expenses. If requested by the Breeder, the purchaser must provide the Breeder with an evaluation from a second veterinarian of the Breeder’s choice at the Breeder’s expense prior to any payment. Smoky Mtn Labradors must be informed immediately of the initial vet examination by email at gene@smokymtnlabradors.com. If we do not receive notice of the vet examination, all guarantees are no longer valid.
